Khakee Telugu Movie Review

According to sources Kollywood’s actor Karthi came closer to Telugu audience after playing a critically acclaimed role in Nagarjuna’s Oopiri. He is now looking to improve his market in Tollywood. His Tamil film Theeran Adhigaram Ondru is dubbed into Telugu as Khakee. Starring Rakul Preet Singh as the female lead, Khakee is tipped to a cop thriller which traces the true incidents that happened in India during 1995 to 2005. Karthi plays a powerful cop in the film and the trailers have created a good buzz in Telugu.

Ghibran is the music composer. Directed by H. S. Vinoth, Khakee is set for decent release in Telugu today.  Khakee is an intense suspense drama based on true incidents set in 1995-2005. The action sequences, color grading had worked really well. Action coordinator deserves applause for some breathtaking stunts. On flip side, in 2nd half, attempts to nab the dacoit gang become redundant and dragged.

Tollywood industry’s glamorous doll Rakul Preeth Singh’s chemistry with Karthi had worked very well. This movie is directed by H. Vinoth and bankrolled by Umesh Gupta and Subash Gupta. Brindha’s cinematography work is amazing and the Central Board of Film Certification has ‘Khakee’ with ‘U/A’ certificate.

The music was scored by Mohammed Ghibran who has earlier composed music for films like ‘Babu Bangaram’ and ‘Cheekati Rajyam’. Meanwhile director H Vinoth has reportedly interviewed several police officers to gather information for this film. Even Karthi met a senior cop in who was one of the officers who was dealing this case to find out how the entire operation took place.  The movie can be given three stars out of five for its making.
