New Delhi sources added that Social activist Anna Hazare had slammed Congress and BJP for weakening the anti-corruption movement and said that people of Gujarat should not vote for either of them. He also took a dig at the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi to formally announce his nationwide Satyagraha from March 23.
Hazare said “No political leader will be allowed to share his agitations.” Meanwhile attacking the centre for not keeping its promises on farmers’ issue, he said “Like the previous governments, this one, too, has not done anything. If it is running well, half of its ministers would not be going home.”
Moreover Hazare claimed that while the Manmohan Singh government had passed the Jan Lokpal Bill “under pressure from the common man”, “it was not before diluting the law. The then PM gave us in writing during the agitation at Ramlila Maidan that the resolution on Lokpal and Lokayukta was passed by Parliament unanimously.
